Faced with one of its highest budget gaps in recent times, ÄÛ²ÝÓ°Ôº Council is asking communities for their views on what council services should be prioritised, protected and provided.

Primary one registration

If your child turns five between 1 March 2025 and 28 February 2026, you can register them for primary school during the week beginning Monday 13 January 2025.

Mull Campus site decision expected in February 2025

With plans to build a new school campus on Mull progressing, the Council will meet in February 2025 to consider options and make a final decision on a preferred site. The cost of building the campus is ÄÛ²ÝÓ°Ôº Council’s single biggest investment estimated at £43 million.

Consultation on visitor levy agreed for January

Visitors, residents and businesses will have the chance to give their views on a visitor levy for ÄÛ²ÝÓ°Ôº, following a decision today by Council to run a three month consultation exercise.

20mph zone trial receives funding

Transport Scotland has provided £78,000 to ÄÛ²ÝÓ°Ôº Council to identify suitable areas to introduced 20mph restrictions locally, for a trial period, to make streets safer and encourage active travel choices.

Helensburgh Pier lease plans sail forward

Plans for The Helensburgh Pier Company Ltd (HPC) to take on a new lease of the town’s timber pier took a step forward this week when ÄÛ²ÝÓ°Ôº Council agreed to the Heads of Terms.
